Seabulk Tankers Orders Coastal Petroleum & Chemical Barge Unit with Donjon Shipbuilding & Repair
February 11, 2014 - Erie, PA
Donjon Shipbuilding and Repair (DSR) a wholly owned subsidiary of Donjon Marine Co. Inc., whose main office is located in Hillside, N.J., has entered into a contract with Seabulk Tankers, Inc. to construct one 185,000 barrel coastal petroleum & chemical Barge unit. This barge will become the barge component of an Articulated Tug and Barge (ATB) Unit. Delivery is expected in the first half of 2016.

J. Arnold Witte, President and CEO of Donjon Marine Co., commented, "This barge order brings additional work and stability to DSR and continues our efforts to provide quality and cost effective shipbuilding and repair services in response to the needs of the International Marine Community".

Donjon Shipbuilding and Repair, located in Erie, PA, represents Donjon Marines continuing efforts to diversify its range of services in response to the ever changing Marine Market. Located on 44 acres adjacent to Lake Erie, DSR is equipped with a 1250' x 250' x 22' graving Dock. In addition, DSR has more than 200,000 square feet of fully enclosed fabrication and assembly space.

Donjon Shipbuilding & Repair Announces Contract To Build Hopper Barges
April 11, 2013 - Erie, PA
Donjon Shipbuilding & Repair, located in Erie, Pennsylvania, was recently awarded a contract by Sterling Equipment of Quincy, Massachusetts to construct two hopper barges, with an option for a third. The principal dimensions of these barges are 225' long x 42' wide x 12' deep. Delivery of the barges is to be made by the middle to end of August 2013.
